A nádtetős parasztházak Tiszadob

Our renovated, thatched, dog-friendly guesthouse in Tiszadob was designed to accommodate four people and to meet the comfort needs of today' age, but at the same time we tried to keep the authentic elements.

The first part of the house is more than 250 years old, its roof structure is made of wooden beams, which is unique in the area. It is so unique that apart from our guesthouse, the only one found in the area is in the Nyíregyháza Village Museum. The interesting part about that house is that it was also originally located in Tiszadob, where it was taken apart and transported to the Village Museum.

The key to the guesthouse was passed from hand to hand over the last 250 years, until approximately 30 years ago it fell into the hands of Pál Odescalchi, who bought the area. Pál Odescalchi's mother, Duchess Klára Odescalchi, was the youngest granddaughter of Count Gyula Andrássy. (Gyula Andrássy was one of the greatest Hungarian politicians of the 19th century, Prime Minister of Hungary between 1867 and 1871, then Foreign Minister of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy between 1871 and 1879.) Until his death in 2014, Prince Pál built and beautified the area with his own hands.

We, as the current owners, bought it in 2021 and started the complete renovation.

There are two houses on the lot. Both houses is waiting for its guests, sometimes we stay here when there is no booking, but if there is, we leave the area, so neither we, as the owners, nor any other guests will be in the entire area of ​​the accommodation during the booked period.

The 6-person hot tub in the garden, the pool, and the hammock and sunbeds provide an opportunity for passive relaxation, but the garden of the nearby Andrássy Castle, the numerous monuments, and the free beach in Tiszadob also favor those who like active recreation.

Rest can be made even more memorable with a barbecue.

The Andrássy castle is a 15-minute walk away, and the free beach in Tiszadob is a 10-minute walk away. There is a post office, pharmacy, grocery store, lottery, and tobacco shop nearby.

The guesthouse is fully equipped, and we also provide our guests with the following:

Meal
The displayed room prices are without board. The nearest restaurant is 344 meters away, and the nearest grocery store is less than 50 meters away. It is also possible to make a pot, grill, and cook on a griddle.

Payment
You can settle the amount of the bookings by bank transfer or bank card. Farmhouses with thatched roofs require payment in advance after successful confirmation of the reservation.

Arrival, opening hours
The earliest arrival time is 14:00 and the latest departure time is 10:00.
