Artemisz-Vadász Vendégház Romhány

Introduction

This relaxed apartment house is located in the historical backgrounded village of Romhany, on the western edge of the Cserhát mountains and 18 Km-s far from the Börzsöny.

Although the house is near to the village centre, it’s still in a quiet street. The two-storeyed building offers 140 m2 living space. It comes with a big garden where it’s possible to set up several tents, and of course there is an open fire place as well.

Inside the house

Ground floor: a completly equipped big kitchen with dining table, a big room with up to 8 beds, one toilet.
First floor: 3 rooms
Bigger friendly or school groups can fit in as well (up to 16 person).

Supplies

Inside the house the catering is self managed. There are easy to find shops, restaurant, pizzeria and pubs in the village. Lunch and dinner menus are avaliable from the restaurant under 1000 Huf (3,8 Eur, on 2010.marc.9.)

How to get there

From Budapest you can reach Romhány in an hour if you drive on the road nr. M2, then after Vác continue on the road nr. 2, than turn right towards Bánk and Romhány for the last 10 Km-s.
Coming from the M3 highway exit at Aszód, than follow the way across Iklad – Püspökhatvan – Nógrádkövesd villages.

Programmes and activities

In our garden you can play table tennis, or you can rent an open-air tennis-court nearby. Next to the tennis court you can use a basketball and a football ground for free.

Sightseeing in Romhány: A museum house built and equipped in the early 1900’s, the Rákóczi-obelisk for the memorial of the „romhányi-battle”, a Roman Catholic Church, két kastély amihez nem lehet közel menni mert dőlnek össze, an old stone bridge with the statue of Nepomuki Saint János.
