Description of the accommodation:

The El Greco Café, Gallery and Guesthouse was opened after lots of dreaming and planning in the beginning of 2007 in the Víziváros (Watertown) neighbourhood of Esztergom, at the foot of the Castle Hill. Our neighbours in this quiet, historic district are the Balassa Museum, the Old County Hall and the Christian Museum, but most points of interest and tourist attractions of the town are within an arm’s reach, too. We can climb up to the Fortress and the Cathedral on the restored medieval Cat Steps, while a walk of some minutes on the Kis-Duna (Small Danube) Promenade will take us to the downtown or the Aquasziget Adventure Bath. We can also comfortably walk to Stúrovo, Slovakia, on the nearby

Bridge, while enjoying the breathtaking Danube panorama of the town.
Our guesthouse expects its guests with 2 apartments (double bed + 2-3 optional extra beds), and 2 double rooms. The rooms include a private bathroom, TV set, Internet access and refrigerator, while the apartment has also a microwave oven in addition to the above.

    "Highly satisfied with rooms and breakfast service. Staff does NOT speak English which keeps us from rating El Greco higher.. Cafe was closed when we arrived and we waited 15 minutes for someone to arrive and unlock the doors and check us in. No one could tell us the wifi password but the LAN connection worked fine. I strongly recommend El Greco and we would love to return"

    "Kedves Házigazda, szuper helyen, 10 perc séta a Bazilika, a belváros közepén, több étterem, vendéglő, a Duna part, a Macska lépcső, minden közel. Szívesen ajánlom! Szépen felújított régi épület, hangulatos udvarral, ahova jó időben kellemes kiülni. Reggelizési lehetőség nem volt, viszont van egy külön helyiség, ahol darálós kávéfőzővel magunknak főzhetünk kávét és hozott reggelit elfogyaszthatjuk, kedves ötlet. Parkolás az utcában, fizetős. Pilisi kirándulóhelyekhez szuper közel. Szívesen visszatérünk!"
