Fumu Ház Közösségi Vendégház Zalaszombatfa

Fumu House:
The name does not cover a Japanese bath, but a community accommodation run by the municipality of the town, which is named after a baby-shaped braided, stuffed cake known only here.
The house, built in 1907, originally operated as a village school but has always operated as a tourist house for 40 years.

Guests can find two larger dormitories in the main building and several smaller rooms shared bathrooms and smaller kitchenettes. Another building has a larger kitchenette. In the yard, there is a large covered barn, oven, barbecue area.

It is also an ideal venue for larger groups of friends, families, hiking groups, anglers, youth, or craft camps. Their pets are not left at home, they are welcome here.

The building complex is located in a quiet environment close to nature, in the smallest ethnographic region of Hungary, in a picturesque Hetés, in the center of the village of Zalaszombatfa.
In front of the entrance, there is a small fishpond and a playground. There is a fishing lake on the outskirts of the village. The countryside is home to many protected plant and animal species.

The town of Lenti is 10 km away, with a thermal bath, beach, and fishing lake.
The city of Lendava (Slovenia) is even closer, with many historical sights and vineyards.
In Dobronak (Slovenia) you can visit the Tropical Garden on one of the largest Orchid Farms in Europe.

The countryside can be easily explored by bike through fields due to small level differences.
The sights of the neighboring Őrség are easily accessible from here.
Craftsmen living here also hold craft classes for guests by prior arrangement.
Local products, weaves, eggs, pumpkin seed oil, vegetables, fruits can be bought from the primary producers living here.
