Gyepszél Panzió Tokaj

The Gyepszél Pension (the name is „On the Edge") is located in a suburban area of Tokaj, close to nature. It is easily accessible from the main road, but the environment is quiet and suitable for relaxation and recreation.
Guests can keep their cars safe in our camera-guarded yard.
After checking in at reception, you can relax in the comfort of your room. The downstairs apartments are pleasantly cool in summer, and the upstairs rooms are air-conditioned.
During your stay, you can enjoy chilled sparkling or still water from the water dispenser at Reception, and use the hot water anytime to make instant coffee or tea.
The river Tisza is about 300 meters away. Walking up to the riverside, you will find our dock, which serves as a boat mooring, a fishing pier, and a place to enjoy the beauty of the river in all seasons.
If you turn right at the riverside and walk a bit, you will find yourself in the middle of nature. You can take a long walk on the asphalted road, which is also suitable for cyclists, or on the grassy footpath next to the fishing lake. The scenery is spectacular in all seasons.
By Turning left by the Riverside you can get to the city on foot or by bicycle.
In the city, there are several parking places if you wish to go by car, but we highly recommend trying out the unforgettable small town atmosphere while walking or cycling! You can enjoy nice wines on the „Love Cellars Street”, or great dishes in the Restaurants of the city. Try the handicraft products of the nearby Tokaji press!
If You come with children, visit the Butterfly and Mineral Exhibition, try a cruise on the Tisza, or go horse riding on the Bandi Ranch, which is our neighbourhood. You can go fishing or sunbathe on our pier.

Our world-famous city, Tokaj, awaits its visitors with many weekend programs and seasonal events.

We recommend our pension
- for children's groups, as the courtyard and the beautiful surroundings give the children room to move
- for families with small children, as we provide a mobile bed, extra bed, high chair, baby bath, a bicycle with a child seat, playground in the yard
- for anglers, with excellent fishing all year round from our own jetty and boat

- for older couples, as they can relax in the comfort of their rooms after a quiet and cozy walk in nature and the city
- for cyclists and hikers, because of the possibilities offered by the surroundings

Ground floor apartments
There are 4 apartments on the ground floor with a bathroom, separate toilet, kitchen for preparing breakfast, and dining area. The apartments are equipped with a coffee maker, microwave, kettle, fridge, and TV. The rooms have 4 beds and can be extended with an extra bed if required, so they can accommodate up to 5 people.

Upstairs rooms
There are 4 air-conditioned rooms with 2 beds. They have a bathroom, toilet, and private fridge. They can accommodate 2+1 people, and have a bathroom, a toilet, a shower, and a toilet.
You can spend your time in the central lounge and dining room in the upstairs hallway. It is equipped with a coffee maker, microwave, and kettle, and is suitable for preparing breakfast. In the corner sitting area, you can comfortably chat with friends and enjoy free internet and TV service.
On both floors, you can watch Hungarian TV programs (156 channels) and youtube content. After a long day, you and your family and friends can view shared photos on the android smart TVs.

Cancellation of reservation!
30 days before the day of arrival:
the reservation can be canceled without penalty, only in writing! In this case, the received fee will be returned within 8 days, or it is possible to transfer the reservation to a later date.
Within 30 days before the day of arrival:
in case of cancellation, 40% of the paid fee will be charged as a penalty. The reason for this is that since we could not rent out the booked place to someone else, cancellation within a short period of time means a loss of income for our guesthouse.
We will refund 60% of the paid fee, or we will offer the possibility of a later reservation up to the amount of 60%.
Within 3 days before the day of arrival:
in case of cancellation and no-arrival, we cannot refund the paid fee, it will be charged as a penalty. The reason for this is that since we could not give out the reserved place to someone else, cancellation before arrival means a loss of income for our guesthouse.
