Hotel Palota Lillafüred

We would like to inform you that from 8 January 2024 until March 2024, the renovation of the rooms in the east wing of the hotel will be carried out.
During this period, the availability of rooms will be limited, but the catering facilities and the wellness area will be available without interruption.

Lillafüred - one of the nicest resort in Hungary - lies 10 kilometers away from the city of Miskolc, surrounded by mountains on 3 sides in a picturesque valley in the east part of the Bükk mountains. The castle built in eclectic style between 1927 and 1930 is surrounded by a hanging garden and a large park.

As result of the last renovation works, the hotel got spacious rooms with furniture matching the atmosphere of the building. The Hotel Palota has 130 non-smoking rooms. All rooms have a comfortable and cosy bathroom; the colour TV, mini-bar and free of charge Wifi Internet provide smooth and complete relaxation.

The hotel has three restaurants and two bars. In the Matthias Restaurant ornamented with stained glass, Upland and Transylvanian food specialities are served. The Hunyadi Restaurant invites its guests with a large selection of food and drinks of Hungarian and international cuisine with salon music in the evenings. The elegant Louis the Great Parlour ensures the joys of gastronomy for 15-20 people.

According to the renovation, the size and the number of services of the wellness centre got extended. You can still use the 10 meter swimming-pool, the dry and wet sauna (steam bath), jacuzzi, indoor dipping and treading pool, and the fully equipped gym as well. In the new pool of the hotel, we formed the new “Silent wellness” division. Besides the new adventure pool with various water elements, you have a great opportunity to rest in the Finnish sauna with outdoor plunge pool and the salt cave, which offers treatment for respiratory diseases. Our Quiet Wellness section is open between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. and from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. only for guests aged over 14. Between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. children are also welcome for an enjoyable experience in the wellness section.
