Hunguest Hotel Pelion Tapolca

The hotel is located in the centre of Tapolca, directly above a cave, an excellent place for curing respiratory diseases, in a four-hectare park. Unique in Europe, our guests have direct access from the hotel to the healing cave for respiratory rehabilitation. Tapolca, a small town with a special atmosphere, is famous for its spa cave and is situated in the western part of the Balaton highlands, 15 km from the shore of Lake Balaton. The karst cave under the hotel is not only a beautiful sight, but also has a special microclimate and healing effects.

The hotel has 228 rooms, of which 212 are double rooms, 8 apartments and 4 suites with jacuzzi. 4 specially designed rooms for disabled guests. Most of the rooms have balconies and all guest areas are air-conditioned.

In the children's area of our hotel, the Tapolca Pocak Club offers games, sports and other interesting activities for our little guests. Our young guests can also meet Pocak, the hotel's mascot otter. There is also a play house for the little ones.
Our wellness area also has an indoor children's playground.

The hotel restaurant offers Hungarian and international cuisine. Our lobby bar offers coffee and drink specialities. In summer, a barbecue terrace and pool bar are also available.

Fitness room, mini-golf, jacuzzi, adventure pool, thermal pool,
seasonal (Jun-August) outdoor swimming pool, children's outdoor pool, giant slides - Anaconda slide for children over 8 years old, kamikaze slide for children over 14 years old.
Sauna, infrared sauna, biosauna, plunge pool, steam room, sauna saunas, spa and wellness body treatments, aromatherapy and solarium are available for guests.

Pool maintenance:
Please be advised that the Hunguest Hotel Pelion will be undergoing its annual maintenance
between 3 - 6 November 2024, so the funbath will not be operational during this period.
During these days, the Turkish bath with 2 thermal pools, indoor children's pool, sauna area (sauna, infrared sauna, bio sauna, steam cabin, salt cabin), fitness room are at the disposal of our guests in the wellness area of the hotel.

The medical cave
The microclimatic parameters of the air in the medical cave are constant, practically free of dust and pollen, and the temperature (18 °C) is constant. Humidity is high, there is no dust pollution and the air is extremely clean. These factors in themselves have a curative and soothing effect (in the case of allergies, asthma and other respiratory diseases).
