King Arthur Panzió Baja

The King Arthur Bed and Breakfast is located in the centre of the city on Telcs Ede Street. It offers six rooms, most of which have a kitchenette. The apartment on the first floor has a separate kitchen.
Our guesthouse is a suitable place for family and friends gatherings, and our stylishly furnished rooms also provide a pleasant night's sleep for overnight travellers and business travellers. On request, we can also provide a communal space next to the reception, which is suitable for gatherings. In this room there is a large piano for music lovers to relax.
Our aim is to make your stay as friendly as possible, and we offer a wide range of services to help you achieve this.
Our comfortable rooms are located on the ground and first floors, with reception on the ground floor. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building and there is a courtyard for those who wish to smoke.
The guest house is located a few minutes' walk from the centre of the town and there is a shopping centre in the immediate vicinity. Banks and ATMs are also within walking distance. For guests arriving by public transport, the nearby train station and bus stop are a great convenience. Free parking is available in the public area opposite the guest house, and there is a designated barrier-free parking area.

Baja is located on the southern border of Hungary, the second largest town in Bács-Kiskun County, an increasingly popular tourist destination for both domestic and foreign guests. It is not by chance, as its natural and cultural values, events and facilities are very attractive.
The Danube and the Sugovica offer a wide range of attractions and leisure activities, boating, swimming on the recently renovated open beach, water tours, fishing. Our natural attractions do not end there. In the immediate vicinity of Baja is the Gemenc, a place of beauty that is a real refreshment for hikers. This unspoilt beauty, rich in wildlife and flora, attracts visitors from all over the world. The city's precious architecture, rich programmes, gastronomy and traditions make Baja a truly attractive destination.

The beautiful city centre of Baja is dominated by the Sugovica, the Danube estuary. With its sandy shore and willow trees, it is the most popular free beach in the area. In summer, it is the main social scene for young people, with morning swims, ball games, boating and sunbathing from dawn to dusk.

Water lovers can try almost all water sports in Baja, including water-ski, motorboat, kayak, canoe, keelboat and jet-ski hire.

Cruises are a popular excursion. Tourists wishing to discover the water world around Baja can sail around Petőfi Island, or on the Gemenc stretch of the Danube or, when the water is good, in the tributaries of the Gemenc, Veránka or Déri can hire a cruise boat by prior arrangement, or even combine a tour with a small train, meals and a guided tour.

The people of Baja are Europe's record fish eaters, with an annual per capita consumption of 6.6 kilograms. The city of Baja celebrated the 300th anniversary of its city status in 1996. To mark the occasion, 463 pots of the famous Baja fish soup were cooked in the main square of the town using the same recipe. The event has been held every July since 1996.
