In our orchard 80-100 year-old apple, plum and pear trees bear the ingredients of our pálinka, jams, strudels and lots of other delicacies. Kosbor Inn is a pet friendly place: you can let your dog run happily around on the huge estate.
In spring, hundreds of green winged orchids (Agarkosbor) bloom on our meadows, so it has been quite obvious to name the hotel after this wild orchid. A hectare of forest belongs to the estate, which smoothly blends with Őrség National Park, making Kosbor the perfect starting point for trekking, hiking, cycling or even horseback rides.
Beyond the wonders of nature, the neighbourhood has plenty of other things in store for you to discover: the village of Magyarszombatfa is famous for its pottery, you can find real rarities at the local pottery museum and potters are glad to let you test their wheel. You can also taste plenty of delicacies in the vicinity: freshly baked poppyseed-pumpkin strudels, pálinka made from local fruits, the famous pumpkin seed oil, several types of fine cheeses and jams available on the market are all treats tempting you to taste but you can also enjoy local specialties at Kosbor Inn or one of the outstanding restaurants in the area.
