In a picturesque village beneath the Low Tatras, Bystrá, is situated a new modern boarding-house called The Rainbow Trout. The above-standard accommodation makes this boarding-house the right place for perfect relaxation, active rest and having fun.
It is a start point into tourism and ski centers and golf links. It offers half board, is suitable for families with children just as for organizing official and informal business meetings.
It provides comfortable and cozy accommodation, pool, sauna and hydro-massage bath tub.
The attraction for you might be a pond full of trout, a wooden pavilion, and a stove with water-wheel-driven skewer, where you may bake whole pig, grill meat or sausages or make goulash.
There is a playground and social games for the kids. Parking for guests is secured on the yard of the boarding-house.
The accommodation capacity of the boarding-house is 58 beds. Rooms are two-, three- or four-bedded.
Besides beds and rollaway, there is in every room also a bed table, a bed-side lamp, a cabinet, shelves, paintings, a conference table, armchairs, a refrigerator, FTV-SAT and a liter bin.

A few meters from the boarding-house, in the common area, there is a stylish restaurant Koliba. The interior of Koliba is furnished traditionally with carved wooden tables and fireplace.
We offer a wide selection of food, dishes and specialties prepared on charcoal. Meals are prepared right before the eyes of visitors in the embers, or grilled.

The village of Bystrá is originated in the area of Horná Lehota, near the mines. First mention is dated in 1563. Till 1848 this village belonged to the mining association. During 18. and 19. century there was a workshop, which processed iron imported from Hronec, Tisovec and Pohronska Polhora. In 18. and 19. century, its inhabitants have worked mostly in metalworks in Podbrezová. In 1912 there was born a writer František Švantner in Bystrá. Nowdays, its character is changing to more recreational and its importance has risen after opening Bystrianska Cave to the public.
Bystrianska Cave is the biggest dripstone cave in the southern part of the Low Tatras. It consists of crooked tunnels in three levels. It has nice wax-yellow décor shaped as flowstone curtains. On the present there is established a sanatorium in the cave for treating respiration illnesses. The operating parameter of the cave is 650 meters long. The village lies in the actual protected territory of NAPANT where extended accommodation and catering establishments, cableways and sky-lifts are establish.
There is a relaxing center in the bouarding-house, where guests can enjoy swimming pool, sauna and hydromassage bath.
