Primosten is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Dalmatia and ranks among the most picturesque small towns on the Adriatic coast. It is located only 27 km south of Sibenik and about 33 km north of the city of Trogir, so it is halfway between these two UNESCO cities. The old part of the city is located on an island with a series of typical narrow streets that were connected to the mainland by a bridge in the Middle Ages.
Primosten has the nickname "City of beaches" because it is surrounded by many mostly pebble beaches with clean and clear sea.
