The Berkenyliget Guesthouse is located in the center of the village, on a quiet street. It was important for us to preserve the values and atmosphere of the 19th-century building, but also to satisfy the needs and expectations of the present. In this way, we kept the thick stone walls of the building, and the vaulted and beamed ceiling, but at the same time, closed parking, unlimited Wi-Fi, and air-conditioned rooms on the upper floor ensure comfort and carefree relaxation. The thick stone walls of the ground floor and the external thermal insulation ensure a pleasant temperature even without air conditioning on the hottest days.

The apartments and suites have their own well-equipped kitchens and private bathrooms, the windows of the living rooms overlook a quiet courtyard and garden, from which you can enjoy an unparalleled view of Szigliget Castle. On the ground floor of the guest house, there is a community space with a dining room and kitchen, where larger groups and families can enjoy spending time together.

In addition to hospitality, environmental sustainability is a fundamental value for us, which is why we not only prefer energy and water-saving solutions, but we also water the garden from an underground rainwater tank and share the building with the local fauna.

About Szigliget: there are few landscapes of Lake Balaton where we can find the romance of the countryside, the memories of the past and the fascinating values ​​of nature together. Szigliget is surrounded on one side by Lake Balaton with its rustling reeds, on the other side it is framed by cones of extinct volcanoes and hillsides that produce delicious wines. The settlement is located in a highly protected natural environment, in the neighborhood of historical monuments such as the Szigliget castle, the Holy Trinity chapel on the Rókarántói hill or the Old Town and lookout point on the Skirt of the Queen.
