Emlékek Íze Vendégház Bánd

Emlékek Íze Vendégház (Taste of Memories Cottage) hides in Bánd under Essegvár, in the embrace of the forest. The history of the small cottage began sometime at the beginning of the last century, when peasant houses were still built of thick stone walls in this region. Our four-star guest house can accommodate 4 people, so it is perfectly comfortable even if you want to come with your partner, family or friends. The sixty-centimeter walls ensure a pleasant coolness in the summer, and in the cold months underfloor heating and a truly peaceful sparhelt provide warmth. Comfortable, large double beds ensure a relaxing sleep in both rooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms. Both rooms have comfortable, extra-wide double beds (180x200 and 200x200), from the smaller room you can exit directly to the garden through the patio door. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher, as well as all the tools you need for cooking. In the cold months, you can also try cooking on the sparhelt, for which we provide firewood. The built in bench in the corner functions as a dining table, but we designed it with such comfortable cushions that you feel like curling up with a book and a cup of tea or coffee, while you can also enjoy the garden. In the garden, you will find a garden table, a thatched seating area and a herb garden. Sit out to look at the stars in the evening in the garden, listen to the crickets and most of all the silence. The evenings are cool in Bakony even in summer, but we provide you with a blanket that you can take out into the garden. We provide you with a grill and charcoal for grilling.

What you can expect:

– the bathrooms were equipped with handmade, natural liquid soap and shower gel from the Szappanfalu manufactory
– a herb garden, so if you feel like cooking, take a walk out into the garden, cut some sage, chives, parsley, oregano or flavor your lemonade with mint.
– a bookshelf of books whether you want to read novels or you want to delve a little into local customs and history

Bánd is a small Swabian village between Veszprém and Herend, at the foot of Miklós Pál mountain, which, with only 670 inhabitants, can boast of special treasures. One of Hungary's oldest castle ruins, Essegvár, is located here, and in its borders lies the second largest yew tree in Europe, which has been declared a nature conservation area. There is an excellent restaurant in the village, and shopping opportunities are available in Veszprém and Herend. Herend and the porcelain manufactory are only 5 km away, and Veszprém, which will be awarded the title of European Capital of Culture in 2023, is 11 km away and only a 10-minute drive away.
