Hotel Central Basilica is located in the very heart of the city right next to the famous St. Stephens Basilica. The neoclassical style edifice was built in 1879 and used as a condominium. The courtyard was covered during its first refurbishment in 1908. In 1930 the interior spaces were turned into offices and used until the 1960’s when the building got reconstructed again. Unused as of the 1990’s the building was then turned into a hotel and opened its gates in 2007.
