Hotel Kőporos Hercegkút **** is an exclusive hotel in the beautiful and breath-taking place called Hercegkút which belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage.
The settlement surrounded by scenic landscape was founded around 1750. Swabian families, who were settled here from German language areas, started a new life here and formed their surroundings with endurance and diligence.
The cellar rows that gives the trait of the village today, were built on the two edges of the settlement. The inhabitants really needed these rows as they all dealt with farming and grape growing.
When choosing the place of Hotel Kőporos Hercegkút our main goal was to find a scene where there is a scenic panorama view over the Zemplén Mountain range, where we can guide our guests longing for relaxation in the fascinating world of vineyards.
This intention of ours was realized during the design process as well. We managed to build a hotel where each comfortably furnished room gives the chance to enjoy all the natural wonders of the Tokaj Wine Region.
The Superior room for persons with reduced mobility that is downstairs and all the rooms on the first floor have a separated balcony, the hotel has its own enclosed parking lot, a common terrace and a garden with amazing view over the hills covered with grapes.
The tourist attractions and sights of the Zemplén Region and Tokaj Hegyalja are attractive targets for those choosing Hotel Kőporos, and wine-fanciers can get acquainted with a great variety of wine types in the wine tavern or the terrace of the hotel. They can even get to know more about the magic and amazing world of wine-making in the cool wine cellars nearby.
The guests who got tired during a long hiking or tasting wine in one of the cellars can have recreation and relaxation either in our combined sauna and jacuzzi indoor or using the comfort of the two outside hot tubs.
