The Robinson-style houses are typically located either on small islands or in remote bays accessible only by boats, ferries or dirt roads - far from main roads. Sometimes this accommodation type is completely isolated with no neighbors in the vicinity, sometimes there are a few other houses nearby. Such an accommodation has no central plumbing usually, drinking water is actually rainwater collected in water tanks, electricity is provided via solar panels (12V) and the stove and refrigerator run on gas.
