"Beautiful stay in remote location
The room was lovely and had a balcony looking out onto the mountains. The location was very remote - down a small lane for a few KM - and a car is required to reach it.

The owners did not speak any English which can make communication quite difficult but they were keen to be helpful and we used google translate on a couple of occasions.

Virpazar is about a 15 minute drive and has lots of options for boat tours on lake skadar and lots of places to eat and drink."

The Robinson-style houses are typically located either on small islands or in remote bays accessible only by boats, ferries or dirt roads - far from main roads. Sometimes this accommodation type is completely isolated with no neighbors in the vicinity, sometimes there are a few other houses nearby. Such an accommodation has no central plumbing usually, drinking water is actually rainwater collected in water tanks, electricity is provided via solar panels (12V) and the stove and refrigerator run on gas. There is also no hot water in the house and the shower is usually outdoors with sun-heated water tanks. Due to this, rational and economical use of water is recommended.
