Dear Guests!

Felsőtárkány is a village on the North East of Hungary near Eger town.
Felsőtárkány is also named and known as the gate of the Bükk mountain. From here you can see or even climb up to Eged mountain, Kistiba, Nagytiba, Várhegy mountain and so on.

From Eger town there is a safe bicycle route up to Felsőtárkány Lake where there are numerous programmes that you can try. The lake and the surrounding is precious and beautiful in every season of the year.
Felsőtárkány Lake is also a fish sporting lake, we can give the contact of the operator to our guests to do some fishing if they like to.
Here by the lake anyone can make outdoor open fire cooking or bacon frying. This preconceive parts of the park can be used for free.
Pavilons of fast food and one-course dish are also available. We highly recommend guests Pöttyös Café where you can get real home made traditional Felsőtrkány strudels and other delicious pastries and of course main dishes as well.

There is also a playing ground for children and from near here departures the dinkey line excursion train to the forests and wait for tourists to take them back. In the forest you can have a rest at Stimecz-House or have a 20 minute walking tour up to Vöröskő-well which is a 2,5 metres high well coming up from the mountains. For more adventourous guests who like extreem tours (5-20 kms) we recommed organised tours which are almost on the programm list every Saturday. Anyone can join and make new friends during the tours.

About our Guest House:

The guest house has 4 rooms with their own bathrooms and toalettes.
The living room/dining room is accomodated wiht the kitchen part which is well equipped and specious. It is a public dining rooom for all the four rooms we let.

Eger downtown is only 6 kilometres distance from our guest house.
Eger offers numerous programmes for tourists, it depends what they look for.
Tourists who wants to taste and buy quality wines they should visist the Valley of the Beautiful Woman. There are cellars and restaurants. At weekends some of them organise parties for visitors and locals too.
Tourists who wants recreation, we offer numerous medicinal and thermal baths.
( There are 11 thermal baths around us in less than 30 km distance. )
We kindly give details about the quality and prices about them on the spot.
We also can help to rent bicycles.
Normal bicycle 3000 HUF/ day, electrical bicycle 5000 HUF/day.
