Vidra Vendeghaz is a more than 100-year-old cottage located 50 metres from Tisza-lake,.It was renovated completely but preserved the traditional hungarian style and look both from in- and outside . It has 3 spacious bedrooms with modern, comfortable king-size-beds and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Check out the pictures uploaded to our page.
During the renovations we only used natural and authentic materials. We built a new “cook-house” instead of the old one, extended with a small bathroom. Now it has a huge roofed terrace with a wood-fired oven made from bricks, hanging tripod cauldron and a grill station. ‍‍Under the kitchen there is a wine cellar. This new cook-house is fully equipped and contains all the necessary cooking tools you might need.
If you are looking at the pictures, you will be convinced that Vidra Vendeghaz is a top-quality, unique cottage located in the heart of the beautiful countryside at Tiszafured, Hungary.
The bikeway offers great views of the landscape. ‍️You can overlook the islands, the floodplain forests and the beautiful water surfaces while riding a bike. There is only a difference of 1 meter in altitude, so you can take a short trip without training for it. The Lake can be crossed by ferry at several points, or you can take combined boat-bicycle trips using a rented boat available at the ports.
There is also an Ecocentre with a giant freshwater aquarium at Poroszlo and a bird sanctuary. Make a one-day-trip to Hortobagy National Park. All these are on the list of UNESCO World Heritage.
If you are a fan of wines, visit Eger or Tokaj wine regions.
Try out the traditional hungarian food in the village restaurants, each within walking distance.
