Visit Szilvásvárad Akácvirág the Guesthouse, which is a quiet, environmentally-flowered, enclosed parking, barbecue area and the requirements of today's four rooms, 3 bath, equipped kitchen at their disposal. Our apartment is five minutes' walk from the center located, it offers a very good rest, because of an internal, quiet individual (2003 year built) building is located. its windows and a beautiful view of the courtyard of the Beech Mountain peaks, forests, colorful forms. A convenient grilling, stewing pot making an open cabin provides.

Szilvásvárad lies 25 kilometers North of Eger, on the Western part of the Bükk Mountains in Hungary.
It’s height above sea-level is 345 meters. This little mountain-village - which has very long past - is situated in wonderful surroundings and offers to visitors a lot of kind of accommodation. It is a well-known international holiday resort perfect for relaxing european vacation. The Szalajka-valley is part of the National Park of Bükk Mountains, nature conservation area.
Main sights: the picturescque Szalajka-valley, Veil-waterfall, Rock-spring, Open-air Museum which is unique in Europe, a Game Preserve, Caveman’s Cave, Stock farm of trouts, Fish Lakes, Narrow-gauge Railway.
In the village - which has about 2.800 inhabitants - the world-famous Lippizaner stud are bred. The Lippizaner horses have more then 400 years long history. In whole year colourful programs are tempting here the longers for some relaxation, sport, amusement and ones who simply wish to have an excursion. Horse programs, shows and carriage trips make complete the fun facilities. The lovers of horseriding have a chance to discover the country side on horseback, while children can ride on a pony. For the winter sledge tour warm clothing is suggested! This place is a paradise of nature lovers too. You can get yourself familiar with the nature, the local culture, handicrafts and the tradition of horse-breeding in interesting special museums. Apart from he horse sport, one can try the near ski courses (with lifts and lighting), mountain bicycle tour, cave tour, rock climbing, hiking, archery and a mountain tour with a qualified guide. In every year several-day horse festivals attract thousands of people here. A “new tradition” in the village is the grape harvest festival in autumn. Gastronomic trout and wine's festival and a lot of other programs. One important event for truffle lovers!

• The Bükk Mountains’ 900 meters and higher tops and it’s rich flora and fauna

• The Cave of Istállóskő, where an 8 tons heavy ancient cooking-stove was found, which is now in the National Museum

• The Szalajka-valley with the famous Fátyol-waterfall, museums in the forest, the tumbling stream and rainbow trouts

• The narrow gauge railways with diesel and steam locomotive

• Opened and covered horse riding school which is famous of the shows of the Lipizzan horses

• The Orbán-house, where the visitors can come to know the history of the Bükk Mountains

• The Round Church built in classical style, which is unique in it’s way

• The Castle of the Earl built in 1860, and the tree curiosities in it’s park

• The Horse Museum, which introduces the history of the Lipizzan horses, coach driving, and visitors can take a look at the most beautiful stallions
