Apartman Happy Jackdaw Split

Apartment is situated in authentic 100 years old house, ground floor, adapted for modern travellers. Original stone walls and lot of details give character to our central located place. Full equipped kitchen and some basic for breakfast in the fridge. It is 5 min from sand beach Bacvice and 7 min from Diocletian palace, there are groceries, restaurants and bars in a few min walking. Free parking on the street. You will have rare pleasure to feel unique Split spirit and enjoy it.
Our central located Happy Jackdaw apartment consists one room with 2 single beds (they are set up as 1 queen size bed as you can see on the photos but can be separated) and couch for 1, full equipped kitchen and artistic bathroom.
Towels, blankets and sheets you will find in apartment and if you stay one week or more I will leave an extra one. We dont keep tv in apartment because nobody asked for it, but on your request we can bring one.
Full equipped kitchen (all dishes inside if you want to cook for yourself) is decorated in traditional style with a lot of stuff that nobody use anymore. Old sink made of stone now is cute little "garden" with green plants and flowers. I noticed that some of my guests buy spice herbs in pots and they didnt know where to keep it. Now there is stone sink, perfect for any kind of pots. There is a wash machine if you will need it. In the fridge you will find juice, milk, butter, jam and some other basics and on the table is bread, sugar, instant coffee, tea and toaster for hot sandwiches. We are keeping some basic stuff for cooking; pasta, rice, spices, olive oil, vinegar... There are air conditioner and wi-fi in apartment (no extra charge for it).
Our idea was to decorate bedroom as crazy boat on the sea with a lot of postcards that will inspire you to explore some far places. Furniture in the bedroom is original old furniture that my great-grandparents used long time ago. There is sewing machine that belonged to my grandmother and is about 90 years old, ancient suitcases transformed in small table, lighthouse and book shell in shape of tree... Double bed is comfortable because of brand new madras, but after removing madras I can separate it into 2 single beds. Couch can be bed for 1 guest. For babies we have baby travel cot and linden, when you come with baby I have extra carpets that you can use.
Bathroom is one huge orange tulip, modern and completely new.

Apartment is in the center of Split (in family house, ground floor, separate entrance), less than 5 minutes walking from bus and railway stations, ferry port and buses for airport. There are internet cafe, few fast foods, restaurants and supermarket just a few minutes from apartment. It is situated in family house, so atmosphere is warm and friendly. On the meadow by the house is playground for kids and open gym for adults. You need to walk 5 minutes from apartment to Diocletian palace and many more palaces inside it. It is historical monument from Roman period and it is protected by UNESCO. It is amazing feeling to walk on stone streets that are more than 1700 years old. During summer time those streets are full of life, music and smell of sea food are everywhere. Narrow streets are in shadow even during hot summer days. During winter time you can enjoy in peace and quite atmosphere of this Mediterranean city. Museums, galleries and monuments will always keep you busy. Out of palace, by the wall, is green market that offer great choice of fruits and vegetables. Open only in the morning just like fish market near by. Also, in short walk you can reach Marjan, hill that is green lungs of Split. Walking in shadow of pine tree wood will relax you and terrace of cafe bar Vidilica will offer you amazing view on Split and islands near by. You have less than 5 minutes to the most popular sand beach Bačvice with showers and many night clubs. When you stay at my apartment it is easy to walk around center and enjoy in historical palaces, museums and good food and when you get tired just walk to the beach and refresh yourself. It is easy to spend evening in palace and coast in front of it with traditional live music and just move to some night club on the beach later in night. In front of apartment is cafe bar in traditional style where you can have some cakes and tea or coffee for breakfast. It is possible to park car on the street (everybody are doing it, it is really safe), nearby is parking which you have to pay extra. It is possible to bring your bike inside house (in front of apartment or inside it) and there it will be perfectly safe.
Guests have access to everything in apartment, there is no shared areas.
