We would like to inform you that Act CLVI of 2016 on the State Tasks of the Development of Tourist Areas, which entered into force on 1 January 2021, under the amendment of the Act
from 1 September 2021, a new condition for the use of the accommodation service is that the user presents his or her identity document to the accommodation provider. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept guests who do not present their ID. Guests from the European Union can accept ID cards and passports. Only passports from third-country guests are accepted for personal identification and document reading.
For children:
From 29 October 2021 The 584/2021. (X. 14.) according to the Government Decree, guests under the age of 14 do not have to present their identity documents.

Hotel Karos Spa **** is located in the heart of Zalakaros, a small settlement hidden among the picturesque hills of Zala, where young and old find the perfect place to relax, both in winter and summer. The hotel consists of two buildings: the main building and the apartment house, which are only 70 meters apart and are connected by an enclosed corridor. The apartments are located in the apartment house, while the other room types are located in the main building.

Uninterrupted relaxation is guaranteed in the hotel's spacious rooms and public areas, which is complemented by the unique 4 000 m2 wellness area, where, in addition to pampering and refreshing treatments, a swimming pool, thermal pool, adventure pools, children's pool, ice cave, sauna island and fitness room can be found.

For little ones, use of the playhouse and playroom at the hotel is free.

Thanks to the conference rooms of Hotel Karos Spa ****, it also provides an excellent venue for company events, meetings and exhibitions.

The gastronomic experience is provided by the hotel's catering facilities:
the Eden Restaurant offers a variety of Hungarian, international and reform dishes, the Food Garden during the day and in the evenings awaits those interested with regional food tasting, bistro dishes and vital cuisine, while the Drink bar offers real coffee specialties.

The hotel does not have a diet kitchen, so it cannot afford to provide special diets, and allergens are listed for breakfast and dinner.

"- The kids club (kindergarten) is great, the nannies are taking very good care of the kids. It's one of the few places in the hotel where English is spoken! My daughter (3.5years) had a lot of fun and besides the pools it was the only place where she wanted to be. In my opinion, as a parent, this is the greatest asset of the hotel. - The inside pools (we only used these ones because of the weather) are very nice, clean and big. - Variety of food both for breakfast and for dinner. - Spacious room."
"- English is spoken by very few from the staff; there is NO information in English (daily program , not even the assessment form, info on the town and the surrounding area) ; At one point someone from the staff was making a list for what we only guess was a program arranged by the hotel;when he understood that we don’t speak Hungarian or German he just turned his back at us and walked away - The bathroom was not very clean; many of the things need to be changed or improved: the wallpaper wasn’t clean and was broken especially where it was linked with the floor tiles; the NO WORKING radiator had rust spots where the paint was chipped; no cosmetic products (two wall dispensers with hand&body wash, hairdryer, bathrobes and towels were the only things in the bathroom); only two hooks were installed in the hole bathroom (I think it’s important to have where to dry the bathrobes and swimming suits in a wellness hotel where people are spending half of the day in the pools). - Ants in the bathroom. - NO internet in the room (WiFi); we were given a cable from the Reception that was not good and when we asked to be changed the answer: “it’s the last one”. In a 4*+ hotel?! - The gym needs a lot of maintenance work: the hand sensors of the treadmill were broke so you couldn’t get any assessment on your training; the utility bench wasn’t in a good shape, the upright exercise bike was completely out of use, the recumbent exercise bike was unusable because the pedals straps were broke."
