Pálos Resort is a family operated Bed & Breakfast and Winehouse establishment, in beautiful natural surrounding, facing a forest, far away from the noise of cities and traffic. We invite you to join us in a simple, convenient and magnificent natural environment. We are not a boring wellness hotel, with artificial happiness. We offer you a real taste of natural joys! In 2018 Pálos Resort won the Best Ethno Hotel Award at the International Hospitality Awards amongst the 28 best European hotels. Our resort is situated in the Western part of Hungary, close to the Austrian border, 12 kms from an international airport (Sarmellek). In our surroundings there are thermal baths in almost every village, and Europe's biggest mainland natural thermal lake, Hévíz is also 10 minutes by car from our site.
We have a 60.000 m2 ground with playgrounds, deer-farm, wineyard, vegetable garden, fruit trees and a 90m2 open-air stage. WiFi is available for free throughout the building. Decorated with rustic wooden furnishings, all rooms at the Pálos Resort come with a private bathroom. New opening in 2019 is our 3 bedroom villa (Safari Lodge), with two floors and spacious terraces facing the forest and the owners deer-farm. Local brochures with the hiking routes in nearby nature-reserve areas are provided. We have a vineyard 800 meters from the house. Home-made and award winning wine and "pálinka" (fruit spirit) tasting is possible. Parking is possible at the property for free. Pálos Resort is the home of quality cultural programs, in 2018 Grammy Award winner Al Di Meola was our guest, in 2019 the Italian king of soul music, Mario Biondi performed in our garden. The 18-hole Zala Springs Golf Course is reachable in 2 km, Kehida Thermal Medical and Adventure Bath is reachable in 5 km, while Hévíz is 14 km away. Lake Balaton and the Festetics Palace in Keszthely is 20 km from Pálos Resort.
